Today on Food & Wine Magazine's blog called "Mouthing Off", there is a story about Udi's Granola. This came about when fellow HEEB 100'er and Top Chef judge, Gail Simmons gave some Udi's Granola to Ratha Tep, an Associate Editor with the magazine (see blog post about HEEB 100). Like most people who try our granola, she loved the "fresh-tasting mix" and commented especially on our honey flavor.
Kudos to Ratha for digging up the fact that we source all our honey from the Colorado Honey Company. Here are some interesting honey facts for our blog readers:
- In 2007, we'll use 250,000 LBs of Colorado Honey
- That's approximately 15% of all the honey produced in Colorado
- Udi's Granola is the largest single user of Colorado-origin honey
